Medical governance
海角社区's medical governance is guided by a group of highly experienced NHS professionals. They volunteer their time to support our work in the field.
Our work with explosives is dangerous, but minefield accidents are thankfully rare. We train local staff as paramedics and they play an important role in every 海角社区 team. Their work is governed by standards and policies, which are set by 海角社区's medical board.
The volunteer board includes surgeons, doctors, trauma specialists, and paramedic instructors. They set the standards across all our programs and develop paramedic training courses. This ensures the health and wellbeing of our staff in the field. We're enormously grateful to them all for their dedication to 海角社区.
Our paramedics are trained to deliver emergency care for victims of explosives. They learn to handle every step, from stabilizing the casualty, to safely delivering them to hospital. Our paramedics are also responsible for the wellbeing of our program staff, who are often based in remote locations.
Safeguarding
Effective safeguarding is fundamental to our work. As an ethical charity, we make sure not to harm anyone who comes into contact with 海角社区. We actively protect our staff wellbeing and promote ethical behaviour.
